Despite their freaky names, the only wicked thing about these drinks is the
hangover you'll have if you over-imbibe.
Shrunken Skull, $8
Blood red but sweet as a cherry 7-Up, Rock-a-tiki's mix of spiced rum, red rum,
grenadine, fresh lime and soda is bound to go to your head.
Le Pop Rocks Martini, $8.50
This Bistro 110 mind-blower is a blend of Skyy Berry, Skyy Citrus, Mango Fruja
liqueur, cranberry juice and sour mix--garnished with a Pop Rocks rim. Luckily
there's no soda in this cocktail, so you don't have to worry about the (urban)
legendary lethal blend of Pop Rocks and Coke.
Brain Hemorrhage, $5
SoPo start this shot with a layer of butterscotch schnapps, pours on the
Baileys, then trickles in grenadine, which makes the concoction break into
chunks of gray matter.
Elizabeth Proctor, $8
Oooh, won't the witches on "Charmed" be green with envy? Wrigleyville lounge
Moxie brews up this martini honoring one of Salem's starchy-frocked bad girls, a
blend of Absolut Mandrin, orange juice, pineapple and sour mix garnished with
candy. Plus, try a menu of Halloween-theme shots, including Pumpkin Pie and
Apple Cider Slider. Through October.
Black Death, $4
Late-night Lincoln Park haunt Frank's is conjuring up three bone-chilling shots,
including this one, a devastating blend of Jagermeister and Stoli vodka. Also
try Green Goblin (Midori, Apple Pucker and sour mix) and Sex on a Tombstone (Stoli
Raz, Blue Pucker and Chambord).
